PV2 compliance easier with CIMConnect

SALT LAKE CITY, USA: Cimetrix, Inc., a leading provider of factory automation and equipment control software solutions for the global semiconductor, PV and electronics industries, completed the latest release of its PV2/GEM interface software product, CIMConnect, this week. Cimetrix focused recent updates on further enabling fast compliance to the new PV2 standard.

Some of the key features of the product that are important to the PV industry include:

* Multiple host connections facilitating additional clients connecting to the equipment concurrently and independently.
* Flexible client/server architecture allows use of API from one or more programs
Advanced debug tools enable efficient incident resolution at the factory without programming.
* Spooling capabilities ensure no data is lost during a communication failure.
* Extended time format and Microsoft® Windows 7 supported.

To date, Cimetrix has shipped over 500 CIMConnect licenses to the worldwide photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing community. Cimetrix continues to improve and update the product, concentrating on adding features to ease PV2 implementation for equipment suppliers. In addition, as a member of the PV-EIS task force, the Company maintains active involvement in the PV2 standard and a commitment to providing complete support of the standard to its customers.
