Amtech announces $8.5 million in new solar orders

TEMPE, USA: Amtech Systems Inc., a global supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the manufacture of solar cells, semiconductors, and silicon wafers, announced that its solar subsidiary, Tempress Systems Inc., has received approximately $8.5 million in solar orders for its diffusion processing systems from two new customers in Asia and one new customer in Europe.

Including these most recent orders, Amtech’s solar orders in the current quarter that ends March 31, 2010 total $27 million and total solar orders to-date in fiscal 2010 have surpassed $80 million. Amtech’s fiscal 2010 began October 1, 2009.
