FARMINGTON HILLS, USA: Hilco Industrial has been appointed as the exclusive agent to handle the sale of the world-class Evergreen PV solar panel facility in Devens, Massachusetts.
The offering of this facility represents a rare opportunity for a company seeking to develop PV solar cell manufacturing capacity at a greatly reduced cost, translating into a dramatically reduced cost per watt of manufacturing to become very competitive with the cost of off-shore producers.
Evergreen’s Devens facility has perfected three areas of production to an unsurpassed level of efficiency in a state-of-the-art facility designed to ensure 100 percent uptime. The products of this facility are extremely high quality wafers, solar cells, and solar panels with a rated output of 160 MW per year with actual output at over 180 MW per year. Evergreen (Devens) represents approximately 10% of the US capacity and the original cost of this facility was in excess of US$425 Million in 2009.
Currently, the facility is in operation and has a scheduled phased shut down in mid-March 2011. Due to the limited time before the scheduled shutdown commences, Hilco Industrial requests an immediate expression of interest in order to provide additional details for this unique opportunity.
