PETALUMA, USA: Enphase Energy announced that the Enphase Microinverter System has received certification from official regulatory bodies for France, Benelux and Italy. Enphase M215-60-230 microinverters meet the requirements in the ENEL Guidelines for Italy and conform to VDE for European safety standards.
“Our Microinverter System brings a system-based, high technology approach to solar energy generation, leveraging our design expertise across power electronics, semiconductors, networking, and embedded and web-based software technologies,” said Raghu Belur, VP of products and co-founder of Enphase Energy. “Meeting this certification milestone promises the many benefits of our Microinverter System can be delivered to Europe, the world’s largest solar market.”
The Enphase Microinverter System consists of three key components: the Enphase microinverter, Envoy Communications Gateway and Enlighten web-based software. Unlike traditional inverters, Enphase microinverters deliver efficient and reliable power conversion at the individual solar module level. The Envoy Communications Gateway serves as a networking hub that collects data from the microinverters, and Enlighten web-based software then collects, analyzes and displays performance information for both installers and system owners.
Together, they function as a single unified system that enhances energy production and increases system uptime. It also simplifies design and installation, reduces fire safety risk and includes the ability to monitor panel-level performance. Each of these system elements was designed to meet local European technical and language requirements.
Earlier this year, Enphase Energy launched two European offices in Lyon, France and Milan, Italy. The European-certified products will begin shipping in 2011 to select European countries.
