SAN ANTONIO, USA: Sunrise Solar Corp. announced that it’s President, Maurice Stone, is the Chairman of the Energy Committee of the National Black Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber actively works with members of Congress and the leaders of a number of national agencies and associations to provide a voice for small business in designing America’s new energy policies.
"Maurice Stone, NBCC Energy Committee Chairman, and I have been meeting with various associations and organizations in Washington, DC discussing the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 H.R. 2454, commonly referred to as the Waxman/Markey or Climate Change Bill, and its effects on "Green Jobs" and the economy." stated Harry Alford, President and CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Regulatory Committee of the US Chamber of Commerce. “We expect a lot of debate in the House and very robust debate in the senate regarding this important bill."
The National Black Chamber includes some of the most influential corporations in America, such as energy stalwarts Chevron and Exxon, telecom giant AT&T, and even financial powerhouse Wells Fargo.
The National Black Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to economically empowering and sustaining African American communities through entrepreneurship and capitalistic activity within the United States. The Chamber reaches more than 100,000 Black owned businesses nationwide and provides an advocacy that reaches 1 million Black owned businesses. African Americans have over $800 billion in expendable income each year according to the US Bureau of Census.
“We expect to lead, not follow, in the development of energy policy in the United States,” noted Maurice Stone, President of Sunrise Solar Corp. “We believe the interests of our company and its shareholders are best served if we have a voice at the table when energy policy decisions are being made.”

Sunrise Solar signs agreement with Macon County
SAN ANTONIO, USA: Sunrise Solar Corp. has signed an agreement to assist Macon County, Alabama, with the implementation of new alternative energy projects.
The company will evaluate green technologies that will benefit the County, government buildings, public lighting and educational facilities. Projects will then be designed and implemented to meet these needs.
Addressing energy needs will include both improving energy efficiency in the County and bringing new alternative energy resources to the area. Funds are available from government sources, including the $800 Billion stimulus package to provide energy solutions that will reduce costs and dependence on foreign oil across America.
"We are pleased to become a partner with the leaders of Macon County," noted Maurice Stone, president of Sunrise Solar. "We expect to expand this model of working closely with government leaders to municipalities across America."
"We are excited to have this opportunity to work with Sunrise Solar in an effort to identify and develop alternative energy sources for Macon County," stated Louis Maxwell, Chairman, Macon County Commission. "We realize that to continue doing business in the same way, will produce the same results; we must change if our children will have a chance to become energy independent."

Sunrise Solar identifies government projects
SAN ANTONIO, USA: The management of Sunrise Solar Corp. met with government leaders in Washington over the past several weeks to identify specific demonstration projects related to SSLR’s solar energy and alternative energy solutions.
The company’s proposals were well received and the response thus far from government agencies suggests they are inclined to move forward with specific demonstration projects. The company expects its successful demonstration projects to lead to more and larger projects in the months ahead.
“Federal agency representatives responded positively to SSLR’s proposals for specific demonstration projects,” noted Maurice Stone, President of Sunrise Solar. “Now that these doors are open, we expect to begin the roll-out of our projects.”
“Over the past several months we have laid the groundwork for these projects and now we are beginning to see the positive results of our initiatives,” added Stone.
SSLR expects to expand its portfolio of projects within the US and abroad as it becomes a competitor to companies such as First Solar Inc., GT Solar Inc. and Suntech Power Holdings.
