Scatec Solar completes 4 MW solar PV plant in Puglia, Italy

OSLO, NORWAY & MILAN, ITALY: Scatec Solar, the global solar energy provider, has completed and grid connected a 4 MW solar PV plant in Puglia near San Marzano in Southern Italy . The plant was built under a contract of the Kokusai-Geosol Group. It is the third project the two companies have completed.

The construction of the plant, located in a former wine region, commenced in November of last year and was connected on schedule on April 29th. The total of 17000 solar modules are estimated to produce about 5.7 million kWh of electricity annually.

"We are pleased to have extended our business relations with the Kokusai-Geosol Group into the Italian market. Our two companies have previously completed projects in Germany and the Czech Republic, and we see Kokusai-Geosol’s confidence in us as proof we are delivering high quality, cost efficient solar PV solutions," Raymond Carlsen, CEO of Scatec Solar said.
