Intevac receives Lean Solar order

SANTA CLARA, USA: Intevac Inc. has received an order for a LEAN SOLAR deposition system for shipment in the first quarter of 2011.

“We are pleased to announce this purchase order from a new customer for use in the manufacturing of crystalline silicon solar cells,” commented Kevin Fairbairn, president and chief executive officer of Intevac.

“Our LEAN SOLAR thin film deposition system is capable of depositing both metal and transparent conductive oxide films, enabling high cell efficiencies and low costs per watt.”
