Pohl & Holmes unveils 504kW solar PV system

HUGHSON, USA: Pohl & Holmes, a turnkey almond hulling and shelling service company has unveiled the commissioning of its large 504kW solar photovoltaic power system at its hulling facility in Hughson, California.

The photovoltaic system was designed, engineered and installed by Cenergy Power. It spans across approximately 45,000 square feet and offsets over 70 percent of the facility's high usage utility meters.

With Cenergy Power's market leading pricing and the generous solar rebate from Turlock Irrigation District, the PV system delivers an attractive payback (net of the incentives) of less than two years and over $2.5 million in estimated power savings over the 25 year solar panel warranty.

"We are impressed with Cenergy Power's commitment to on time delivery, quality and workmanship," recalls David Pohl, one of the principals of Pohl & Holmes.

Bryan Holmes, another key principal of the Huller, adds: "The Cenergy Power team demonstrated outstanding teamwork and dedication to get our system turned on during the holiday season. We are enthusiastic about starting 2010 as a significant commercial clean power consumer. "
