Solar fuel station provides power for e-bikes

GILCHING, GERMANY: At the BIKE EXPO 2011 in Munich Donauer Solartechnik will be presenting system solutions and services from their new business area e-mobility (Hall B5, stand 513). The main focus at the stand will be on Solar Bikeports: These solar fuel stations for electro-bikes and electro-scooters work completely independently of the power grid – with solar power only.

With its Solar Bikeport Donauer Solartechnik has developed an environmentally friendly supply solution for e-bikes. Energy won from solar modules is stored in the integrated batteries and is then available as charging power for e-bikes.

Since the Solar Bikeport works independently of the grid, it is ideally suited for environmentally friendly mobility systems in tourist areas, and also for large-scale industrial plants, public buildings and for the establishment of communal mobility structures worldwide. The Solar Bikeport is easy to assemble and is already being produced in series.

Donauer Solartechnik provides system solutions and components relating to electro-mobility. E-bikes and e-scooters from Ultra Motor, Sparta and Veelo, in addition to solar carports, charging stations for electric powered cars and battery technology for electro-mobility are also part of the portfolio in this area of its business. This means that customers can obtain all the components they need for mobile solar technology from a single source.

Representatives from Donauer Solartechnik will be presenting the Solar Bikeport at stand B5.513 at the trade fair. Visitors will also have the opportunity to test ride the e-bikes and pedelecs.
