GREECE: Upsolar, a leading international provider of solar PV modules, announced the completion of a 1.5 MW solar electric system in Kozani, capital of the West Macedonia region in Greece. This marks the first installation in the region completed by Upsolar’s Project Development Department.
The ground-mounted project is comprised of three-500 kW systems and more than 6,500 UP-M230P modules. The systems were built by engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms Sun El A.E. and Gortys Ltd.
Upsolar first entered the Greek market in 2010 and has since shipped more than 68 MW of modules to the region. For the Kozani project, Upsolar accessed local incentives made available by the Greek government to promote adoption of renewable energy across the region.
