Isovoltaic.sees successful start to 2013

AUSTRIA: The first few months of 2013 came in well above the expectations of ISOVOLTAIC AG, the leading manufacturer of backsheets for PV modules. The company had already responded last year to the turnaround in the photovoltaic market and had successfully adjusted its structure to this difficult market situation.

The year began very positively. Incoming orders in the 1st quarter 2013 were significantly above budget. As a result, the production and finishing sites in Austria and China are very well utilized and working in multi-shift operation.

The company can also report currently on a very promising trade fair appearance by ISOVOLTAIC at the 7th PV Power Expo (“SNEC”) in Shanghai at which the high-quality ICOSOLAR backsheets and encapsulation materials met with keen interest from the module producers.

The successful certifications (TÜV, UL and JET) of the new developments from the ICOSOLAR product range in recent months specifically illustrate that ISOVOLTAIC is always in touch with the latest trends with its constant enhancements and new developments and is well able to maintain its technology leadership.

In addition to the strengthened headquarters in Lebring/Austria, where the company’s core competencies including R&D and production are pooled, ISOVOLTAIC is increasingly positioning itself in the Asiatic market in order to offer optimum service to its customers there also.

Besides the existing company Changzhou Isovoltaic Composite Materials Co. Ltd (China), ISOVOLTAIC Asia-Pacific Ltd. with its registered office in Hong Kong was established as ISOVOLTAIC’s hub in Asia. The company will be opening another site in China as ISOVOLTAIC (Suzhou) Composite Materials Co. Ltd in autumn 2013. In addition to existing activities, this will enable us to further expand the final assembly of ICOSOLAR backsheets and encapsulation materials.

ISOVOLTAIC is also working intensively on expanding sales and supply chain activities in India and Japan.
