Phoenix Solar AG builds another solar power plant for E.ON in Italy

SULZEMOOS, GERMANY: Phoenix Solar AG, a leading photovoltaic system integrator listed on the TecDAX, is to build a solar power plant with a peak power of three megawatts for E.ON Climate & Renewables. Headquartered in Düsseldorf, E.ON Climate & Renewables is responsible for the worldwide activities of the E.ON Group in the field of renewable energy and climate protection.

The solar park in Marino close to Rome is the fifth contract which E.ON has placed with Phoenix Solar. Phoenix Solar has built solar parks with a peak power totalling more than 13 megawatts for E.ON in Italy and France.

Phoenix Solar AG is responsible for planning and building the photovoltaic power plant in Marino using crystalline solar modules from Trina Solar. Construction is due to start in mid-June 2011 and completion has been scheduled for August 2011.
