Punjab based GNDSS Hospital commissions Sunpreme Solar Systems

INDIA & USA: Sunpreme, a global SmartSilicon based solar power producer headquartered in California announced the commissioning of a 150 kilowatt rooftop solar system at the Guru Nanak Dev Super Speciality (GNDSS) Hospital situated in India.

The system will be the largest commercial rooftop installation in Punjab, and first rooftop in India to use Sunpreme's innovative Thin Film technology.

The system will generate 225,000 kilowatt hours of clean electricity annually and will be a centerpiece to the hospital's holistic approach to environmental stewardship. The Sunpreme arrays are coupled with SMA inverters to maximize solar electricity, enough to power 200+ average Indian households, and offset 316,000 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions – the equivalent of planting 53 acres of trees, in just single year of production.

Over 25 years, Sunpreme solar system is expected to generate energy savings of over Rs.9 Crores ($1.7 million) that can be used to support and promote hospital excellence. The double glass construction of panels ensures high reliability performance in combination with superior aesthetics due to the thin, frameless profile.

Sunpreme products are tested and certified to international standards: UL 1703, IEC 61646, IEC 61730-01 & 61730-02, and manufactured at its state of the art ISO 9001 certified facilities. In addition Sunpreme panels have a streamlined design that lends itself well to commercial rooftops, where the unique frameless design is easy to install and does not require grounding.
